Community statement

The Temple University Panhellenic Council is outraged at the actions that caused George Floyd to lose his life and recognizes the deep rooted issues that this situation brings to light. Knowing this is a recurring problem in our society, we as educated women strive to spark a change. To those impacted by this situation: we hear you, we support you, and we stand by you.


As a historically white organization, our council sees this as an area we can always improve upon. Diversity and inclusion are crucial components of our community, and we cannot stress enough the need for our members to recognize any privilege we may have, and to use this privilege for the benefit of our community, campus, and nation.
